SIDE x SIDE: EDGE > EDGE
Side x Side – Edge > Edge is the latest collection of silverware by Contemporary British Silversmiths and the first exciting collaboration with the Finnish Silversmiths Association and students and staff at the Lahti University of Applied Sciences Institute of Design, the exhibition features 75 pieces of new work designed and made in response to the themed title.
Finnish manufacturer Kultakeskus Oy has generously sponsored each participating maker with 1kg of silver encouraging members to challenge their creative thinking. In keeping with the organisation’s educational remit graduate members of Contemporary British Silversmiths will be participating with full members.

TEN
In celebration of our tenth anniversary members designed and made a new piece of silver based on their individual response to the theme of TEN.
Using ‘10’ in multiples, fractions, angles, lines, curves and graphics, 36 silversmiths produced unique silver work for the collection which showed in Bath, Birmingham and London.
The rich diversity of ideas and skills inherent within the work on display exemplifies what we are about; namely, creative and inventive individuals.
