My work is characterised by an affinity to the art of antiquity – in particular by the shape and form of ancient ceramics, as well as the patterns found in ancient art.
My work is also guided by modern ceramics and in recent years I have particularly enjoyed attempting to create work that is a combination of both ancient and modern forms, decorated with patterns reminiscent of antiquity.
