Tall and Small An unmatched pair of vessels that explore aspects of Scale, proportion and contrasting colour and texture. Each vessel has a 'patch' in patinated gilding metal with a chased design creating a quilted effect. The 'patches' are the same shape and size. While the vessels are extreme in their size differential, they share the same conical geometry and are the inverse of one another.
The set comprises a one litre capacity jug and four beaker (only three of which are shown) The tray is glass with a silver rim and gold plated detailing. H300 x Dia290mm
Rebecca de Quin
I am interested in the potential of silver objects to compliment contemporary living whether for practical use or decorative display. I make one off pieces for exhibition and to commission and small batch production items for sale through shops and galleries. Designs include tableware and sculpural works that explore the traditions of silversmithing in relation to ‘the vessel’. I am represented in a number of UK collections including those of the Crafts Council and Goldsmiths’ Company.
