As a silversmith with an architectural background, my work is informed by the natural properties of the metal and the design and functionality of the piece. I hope the person using the vessel will have as much pleasure in handling it as I have in the making.
I am interested in how it looks, inhabits its own space, feels to touch, plays with light and volume, and functions in use. With importance given to detail of design, craftsmanship and workmanship, it does what it is meant to do efficiently.
