For my Water Lily Vase I took inspiration from organic forms as seen in nature, with its abundance of creative patterns and textures. I developed this design from a combination of studying traditional Korean and contemporary European vases.

The Silver Sake set consists of a vessel for the alcohol with a small cup for the stopper and four complimentary stacking cups that are easily identifiable for use by each guest by their size. The stacking cups are intended to form a small tower on the bamboo tray. These are repositioned one at a time by placing them on the tray and dispensing the sake to the cup before serving each guest.
I draw inspiration from nature and organic forms; its infinite creations, patterns and textures. I like to look at new processes and take inspiration from always challenging myself. I consider it very important to explore new technologies in design and craft manufacturing, to me this is essential in the process, along with my desire to challenge conventions and perceptions. I Hope that the pieces that I have developed and created so far can be admired for their visual beauty as well as the intended function and purpose.
