Hannah Felicity Dunne
Hannah uses traditional hammering techniques to form sculptural silverware. Flat silver sheet is worked into a three dimensional form using hollowing, hand raising, planishing and chasing. Each piece of work is crafted by hand and finished using hammers and tools that have been personally adapted creating surface textures that are unique to the pieces. Informed by nature the designs are developed through the making process working intuitively with the materials and tools. The form and textural finish of each piece are developed with careful thought and great consideration is given to balance, composition and pattern. Each piece is organic and fluid in design with a tactile quality.
