Contemporary British Silversmiths is delighted again to be partnering Apsley House, the historic home of the Duke of Wellington for this year’s London Craft Week. Apsley House is part of English Heritage and is home to the extraordinary Wellington Collection.

DEMONSTRATIONS
Saturday 14 May 11-4pm

Join us for a special day of events and activities on Saturday 14th May. During the day, CBS member Alice Fry will be demonstrating and discussing her work in the main Hall. Explore the house and its collections of exceptional silver, silver gilt and paintings and where CBS silversmiths, including Stuart Jenkins, Kyosun Jung and Ryan McClean will be showing and talking about their work 11.00am – 4.00pm.

SPECIAL EVENING EVENT
Saturday 14 May 6-8.30pm, Tickets £20

We invite you to a special evening event where you will be introduced to the House and its Collection by Josephine Oxley, Keeper of the Wellington Collection and enjoy a complementary glass of wine.

As you are taken through the public rooms you will hear about the work of Contemporary British Silversmiths from Vice-Chair and silversmith James Dougall, find out about the influence of architecture in work of Vicki Ambery-Smith, hear from silversmith Kyosun Jung about the inspiration and techniques in her work; and learn about the secrets of silver and its twentieth century history from John Andrew, Curator of the The Pearson Silver Collection.
